LATE REGISTRATION INFO

If you have not registered your child at one of the inperson registrations, print out this form and mail it to the address to the right with  your check.

IF YOU ARE NEW TO CENTRE SOCCER, YOU MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR PASSPORT

**Any Fall 2008 coach can play in any adult league for FREE.

Volunteers

VOLUNTEERING

 

Centre Soccer has grown to be a very large organization.  We struggle with getting the number of people to help to be able to operate a club of this size.  From the Fall 2007 season on we will be noting in the computer what season you have done some type of volunteering for.   This can be in the form of coaching, field lining, team parenting, dropping off things for someone, doing a mailing, helping at registration, referee meetings, etc. We will be asking each family in our in house and travel programs to volunteer at least once every two years.  Last season we were short on team parents and choose people to do this.  Some did it willingly, others were not as agreeable as it was a bad time in the year for them.  By you deciding when you can help for the next two years it will avoid this situation. 

 

REGISTRATION HELP….You are planning to go to one of these days anyway so why not volunteer to help?  I need 6-8 people PER registration day to help.  You need to know a little about CSA’s programs but like to talk to people and answer questions about our programs.

TEAM PARENTS….AN EASY WAY TO HELP.

Do you plan on attending most of your child’s games/practices throughout the season?  YOU can be a team parent.  It is an easy job but an important one.  You are responsible for making a snack schedule, getting emergency cards filled out and the distribution and collection of TEAM PHOTO ORDERS for our Fall Season.  A job description will be sent to you with your child’s player confirmation.

 

FIELD LINING……

Lots of help is needed here.  You can help once, twice, three times or weekly.     No experience necessary.  Our great crew chiefs will instruct you on what to do.  WE WOULD LIKE TO DO IT ALITTLE DIFFERENT THIS YEAR.  We would like to assign a “team” of people to each crew leader and they can work out a schedule with these 4-5 people to get there 4-6 fields done prior to the season.

I AM LOOKING FOR MORE CREW LEADERS !!!

 

WE also need people to RELINE our fields once a week for eight weeks.  We have many fields available and you can pick the one closest to your house.  All equipment provided.


 
Soccer Cleat Swap

SOCCER CLEAT SWAP and SALE

Do you have a box of soccer cleats your child(ren) outgrew but didn’t wear out ?  DON’T THROW THEM OUT !!!!  Bring them to registration.  We will have a table for used cleats.  For each pair you bring you can “swap” them for another pair.  If you have none to swap you can purchase these cleats at five dollars a pair.  All cleats are considered a donation to Centre Soccer Association and proceed from this sale go to our equipment fund.  This is a great way to get some gently worn cleats at a more than reasonable price.

TEAM SOUVENIRS/END OF SEASON

Centre Soccer provides each player with a team shirt, use of equipment and fields, rules, referees (except U5 and U6) and an end of year souvenir.

 

CSA WILL NOT ALLOW TROPHIES OR OTHER SOUVENIRS for ANY TEAMS TO BE DISTRIBUTED.  Thank you.

FALL SOCCER SEASON…

What to do ??

 

 

We know that many of our soccer families are big football fans.  This season there are many home football games during this fall soccer season.  On home Penn State Football weekends we will move all soccer to Sunday afternoons.  This makes schedules hectic for families that have multiple players but it allows you to play soccer and go to football games if you so choose.  So please be flexible and play close attention to your schedules.  All the specifics will be in your confirmation packet with your rosters and season schedule.

Registration Information - Important!!!

 PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS PAGE !!
ALL  PLAYERS/PARENT MUST ATTEND ONE
IN-PERSON REGISTRATION DAY
 
 
If you make the effort to come to a registration day, you are guaranteed a spot on a team. Late registration players are put on a waiting list until we know if a spot is available. If you are sure you CANNOT make one of the four days, the best thing to do is to send your money with a friend to sign your child(ren) up. Make sure that they know if you are able to volunteer for any positions that we need help with and if they have any player requests. Please make sure you send your registration fee with them as well.

If this is not possible, you may mail to Centre Soccer and include this info.:
Player’s name, address, birthdate, phone number, grade, parents names, and division you are signing up for (example U7/U8 girls, U5 coed, U9/10 Intermediate). I must receive your registration fee by JULY 21, 2008 or you will have to pay a late fee and be placed on the waiting list. If you are a new player to CSA you must include a copy of your birth certificate.

 REGISTRATION FEES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
$60.00 for the first in-house player
$55.00 for each additional in house player
$60.00 for each Rec 2 Adult League Player
$40.00 for each Rec 1 or Womens League Player
$25.00 per player U15-18 Coed
$15.00 per player U15-18 Girls League Player
 
REGISTRATION FEES ARE DUE UPON REGISTRATION. Your child will not be registered until fees are paid. We prefer checks, but will accept cash. Please try to bring the exact amount as we do not always have change available. Scholarships are available. See Sue at registration.
 
LATE REGISTRATION   We do accept players after JULY 21, 2008 but a $10.00 late fee is added per player and they are placed on the waiting list until we know if there are any spaces available on teams. You may not get notified until after the season has started and players drop out. Checks are not cashed unless you are placed on a team. After the first week of the season, players who do not get on a team will get their checks returned.
 
 
PLAYER REQUEST POLICY
Over the years many people have indicated on their registration forms a child they would like their player to be on the same team with. Their reasons range from carpooling, to friendship, to whatever… We have made efforts to honor most requests whenever they fit with the team make-ups. (Trying to create well-balanced teams in each age group is always our first priority). In our youngest age groups it can be helpful for a reluctant player to play with a friend to make this new experience more enjoyable. As we deal with so many more players each season, it has become necessary to formalize this policy so that all may have the same opportunities. FOLLOWING THIS PROCEDURE DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU
